It’s a definitely huge natural disaster that I’ve ever seen in my life, every national TV channels are broadcasting on and on the latest situation in Sleman, Yogyakarta. As I remember, such bad thing ever happened in Aceh on December 26’ 2005 [just a day after Christmas] when Tsunami attacked the whole land and washed down millions of people into dead body. It remained nothing but ruins of everything. Without any warning, Aceh became a dead town, no electricity, no life, no buildings, and no activities.. Completely dark!! [in denotation].

Well, 2010 is almost ended and now it’s already entered November. Once again, something really execrable just occurred in one of province in Indonesia, Yogyakarta!! A giant mountain has been erupting for several times since October26’ 2010 until now and the biggest one ensued last night at around 1 AM in the morning, November4’ 2010. Damn really gruesome!! Could you imagine?! When all people fell asleep and then the mountain suddenly erupted. They had no time or chance to escape, no.. It was so fast, just in a blink of eyes. I saw corpses on TV screen, many were burnt by volcanic mudflow.

All things, no exception.. houses, livestocks, trees, rice field, vehicles were covered by volcanic ashes [very hot, I heard almost 600°C --wew, you can poach egg in only 30 seconds!!--]. No wonder, if everything had touched by them vacated. In my opinion, the situation in Sleman this present alike Aceh in 5 years ago. Air was contaminated and polluted by them, it was hard to breathe freely. You have to wear mask to protect your lungs or you’ll meet your destiny. The locals were evacuated in refuge that already provided by government.

You know,, It’s like double unfortunate, why? Because they have lost their good and chattel, moreover currently they find so hard to meet the primary needs such as lack of foods, beds, even water. Jeez!! How poor they are! Hmm,, There always be a smile after weeping!! Perhaps, they have lost everything for now yet don’t forget the land which covered by the volcanic ashes will be so much fertile than previously [let say -----the land regenerate itself]. For almost 4 years, the Slemans have received much more than the mountain asked. Be thankful..!!

Is it a beginning of new life? Probably.. The unique one is all Indonesians are united giving helping-hands to the victims or evacuees. That’s the true art of living together!! Charity!! Giving attention of each others, caring of each ones’ burdens, lifting the pains up, and holding hand in hand to rise up… Break the self-boundaries, forget our position in society!!. Don’t simply turn our head away! See and act…

Feel what they feel, cry when they cry, and smile when they smile.

Hopefully, things will recover soon..
